The sound of last night’s rainstorm lashing the house made it sound like an all-night carwash. By morning, it was still coming down so hard, water was running off the house in heavy sheets.
The storm tapered off by midday, leaving at least 4 inches of much needed rainfall, a good soaking amount. Such is the power of washing the windows to bring on rain.

Boy did it rain! Indeed we needed the rainfall, but did it have to come all at once :)
It was a little insane, but we’re grateful the soil was able to soak it all up!
4 inches is pretty much unheard of around here. Glad the ground could take it.
The driveway was starting to become moat-like, but eventually the excess water got absorbed. We could use more but, as GrafixMuse notes, just not all at once!
