Today marks the one-year anniversary of Diary of a Tomato. Sometime last week we passed 200 posts, an accomplishment we never would have foreseen or thought possible when we began. Many thanks to you, dear reader, for accompanying us along the way. Writing here has helped us keep our sanity, find balance, and reminded us to pay attention as we go about our daily lives. We are grateful for all of your thoughts, advice and warm camaraderie that’s added so much to this experience. We hope you join us in the coming year, and look forward to your continued good company.

Congratulations from a NH neighbor – quite an accomplishment. We’re thinking of head north through Maine this month. Any suggestions for stops?
Thanks, Judy! Depending on how far up you plan on traveling, I’d recommend fitting in a visit to the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay. Also, MOFGA’s Common Ground Fair is happening 9/21–23. If you’re passing through Belfast, I’d recommend lunch at Chase’s Daily and a visit to their farmstore in back. Farther Down East, this is a wonderful time to visit Acadia and Bar Harbor!
I love reading about your garden and your food. Thanks for sharing your triumphs and frustrations with us!
Thanks, Pooks! They do seem to go hand in hand, don’t they?
Congratulations on your one year! Love that photo of the tomatoes too; they are beautiful!
Thanks, Patsy! The Gardener told me we couldn’t do an anniversary post without a pix of namesake tomatoes.
Congratulations on this meaningful milestone! Your blog is a feast and a treat. (Wow, 200 posts in one year? You guys are super prolific.)
Thanks, Azita, we’re honored to have you as a reader! When we first started out, we never thought we’d have enough to say…
Always something interesting!
We try, Chris!
Congratulations! Love your blog – I really enjoy visiting for the food, the plants and the photos but most of all for your perspective. I’ve loved heaps of your posts this year but the ones that for me stuck out were your visits to the shrimp trawllers – memorable stuff.
Thanks, Liz, we’ve thoroughly enjoyed your blog in turn, and seeing the contrast in seasons between our two locations! I’m hoping to post more field trips like the shrimp one once I’m done with the Master Food Preserver Program…
Congratulations on your blogoversary!!!
Thanks, Bee Girl, and now I know what to call it!
Congratulations! Really enjoy the voice, text, pictures and variety….
Thanks, Eileen, we’re glad to count you among our visitors!
