Interlude: January Blizzard

January Blizzard

“ACCUMULATIONS: SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 18 TO 24 INCHES… INTENSE BAND OF SNOWFALL WILL BECOME NEARLY STATIONARY OVER THE AREA THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON… ” — Blizzard Warning for York Coastal County, ME

It appears winter storm Juno has decided to drop into the neighborhood and stay for awhile. I’ve a pot of stew warming on the stove, a pile of good reads beside me, and the thermostat turned up. Hope you’re all snug and safe, dear friends.

  1. The same at our place in Portsmouth. Enjoy your cozy day!

  2. Doesn’t look like a good gardening day in your neighborhood. It is sunny and 67 here n Southern California, a beautiful day after yesterday’s rain.

A little over a foot of beautiful, fluffy snow and temps around 19. The snowplow never came and can you believe it? Best day in years with nowhere to go and the power holding. Bliss. Hope you are having as beautiful a day as I am!

Brrr, it makes me cold just looking at it! Unfortunately it’s dry and mild here, going into year 4 of a drought, or so it seems. Enjoy the snug warmth! Dream some good dreams of the summer garden…

We didn’t have as wonderful a storm. Still, it did give me a chance to pause. Enjoy!
