1.21.12 Blue afternoon

Once it stopped snowing, we checked on the covered beds to make sure they hadn’t collapsed. Only a couple of inches of accumulation.

It was late afternoon and everything was cast in a blue light. We took a walk…

…down to the rocky beach and found it looking like this.

It really is amazing the blueish grey tint that covers the scenery after a snowfall. We had some heavy snow and freezing rain last week and the landscape was a wintery blue/grey. Pretty to look at but I am glad it went away quickly.

Are you going to get the warm up we are? Today is supposed to be in the 40s here. And then next few days too. I’m thinking all my snow will melt.

It looks so peaceful and pretty! I love how the sky, water, and snow all blend together. Can you send me a little bit of snow?

    It does look beautiful…cold…but beautiful.

Had a few inches of snow on Saturday, was beautiful to look at. Washed away by the rain last night.

That same warm front passed through here, wiping out any snow cover… we’re glad we got out to enjoy the snow while we could…

We woke up to our garden looking the same this morning with about 3 inches of snow. That picture of the snow on the beach is beautiful!!

I like the idea that no matter how far-flung we all are, we’re still under the same sky…
