Fava Bean Da Orto SuperAguadulce (61-2):
Real Italian favas! These are popular throughout Europe, but especially in Italy. This variety is considered much more flavorful than the Windsor types that you usually find in the U.S. If you are in California, or in USDA zone 7 and warmer, favas should be planted in the fall for spring harvest. In zone 6 and colder, plant in spring at the same time as peas. They don’t like temperatures over 80F. Favas are hard to import, so we get them in only once a year. Order now for fall or spring planting. We offer 100 gram packs, about 3.5 ounces.
Aguadulce Supersimonia:
Real Italian Favas – Vigorous plant and excellent producer of long green favas. Ready in 80-90 days. Difficult to import so once they are gone, that is it for this year. 100 gram pack.
Fava Cascine:
Small pods. 6 very tender beans per pod. 10 days earlier than other favas. Favored by chefs for taste and tenderness. 75-85 days.
